Zoey the Cool Cat

Cats

Earlier today Zoey the Cool Cat came into my home office, stood there, looked at me, and meowed. She didn’t want food. She didn’t want to play with her red ring. She didn’t want to be cuddled and loved. She meowed, meowed, and meowed. And then she meowed some more. Finally I logged onto Google Translator, plugged in her meows, and got a translation (click on the picture for a larger, readable graphic):

So here you have it! Our new category called CATS! Considering that Zoey the Cool Cat suggested it, I think it’s only appropriate that we feature her in our first CATS post!

When Jim and I adopted Zoey from the El Cajon Animal Shelter, her name was simply Zoey. I liked it because of the “y” on the end. At the end of her first day with us, September 20, 2007, I had added “the Cool Cat” due to this picture:

She claimed my office chair her first day and has never given it up. She can be nowhere around, but if I get up and leave the chair for more than thirty seconds, I come back and there she is, happily possessing it. Possession is nine-tenths of the law.

You know how much I love cats 🙂 Zoey The Cool Cat is amazing and I love her too, (but please keep between us, my Princess, she is so jealousy)… Seems that your chair is not big enough for her, dear Russel 🙂 Please many kisses for her, Blessing and Happiness, Thank you, love, nia

Bahahaha this was very good! Reminds me a little of my little jack russell! I swear I can’t tell if she’s a dog or some other animal like cat, or horse or human.

Love the kitties, no matter where I find them. Glad to see the famous permakitten “lil Bub” got its award at the Tribeca Film Festival. I enjoyed those little films on Youtube. Cats and kitties are fun because of their personalities, I love dogs, too!

Oh that is precious! Mine (who looks a lot like Zoey) has just decided that the entire house is hers! She merely lets us live here, but she has promptly kicked the other cat out to the back porch. They are driving me crazy with this, “don’t close the door” thing they have going on. Really cute and enjoyable post! 😀

She certainly loves your chair….I wonder where you sit now?
And by the way she is a lovely cat. I shall try that google translator next time when I don’t understand my cat…… love it!

Giggle Giggle Giggle Giggle ~ aren’t cats just the best? Our Tiffy is a diva who takes up more of the bed than I do! Looks like Zoey could do that too! I love those cat positions! Does she practice yoga regularly? 🙂

We had thought that we wanted another black cat, but during the months leading up to Halloween, black cats are not allowed to be adopted at the animal shelters. I know the reason why, but I still can’t imagine people doing those kinds of things to little animals.

LOVE this one-cats are so cool. My cat is Inky-she is black as her name denotes! I got her as a stray found by two great Danes and she could fit in the palm of my hand. She is now huge and takes over my office chair too.

    Haha! I ❤ Zoey.
And it isn't just you, I once read some where that cats prefer names with a "long e" sound at the end. Zoey fits the bill!
