Great photos! I find it amazing how these very prickly plants burst forth with such beauty.
I used to have two on the windowsill and remember the joy when they flowered.

Such a beautiful variety of vibrant color, Russel! I admire them all, but especially love the wonderful fuchsia crown (4th down)! My first thought after the “Awe” effect, was how amazing Nature is! This design of thorns to protect the body of the plant is, of course, very effective and yet the colorful blossoms are positioned in such a way that they are non-threatening, readily accessible to the pollinators. Then, I felt how proud you must be of them! How wonderful to be able to step outside and admire the fruits of your effort and nurturing! Thank you again for sharing this Joy with us all. đź’ž
