I used to post on blogger. I hope it works out for you. I just found that they didn’t do a good job of directing people towards my blog. That being said, it might have been my subject matter. I hope it turns out well for you.

I chose WordPress over Blogger in 2011 for the exact same reason. Now, though, I have no need for SEO. I just want to write/blog. What I did this morning took about 10 minutes. Then I did the same blog on WordPress. Took me 30 minutes, and I never did get it looking the way I wanted, so I gave up.

That makes sense. There’s a place for everyone if they can find it.
I myself am not looking to make money, but I was (am?) hoping to provoke a little bit of discussion.

I can do with or without discussion at the blog per sé because I also post my blogs to Facebook, which is where most of my discussion is now that I’m retired from actually working to make a living.

Blogger says that I have had 13 views since I published my blog a few hours ago, so eventually I’m sure there will be discussion over there. I have found that blogging is very much a tit for tat enterprise. You comment here and I’ll comment there. I comment there and I’ll find you commenting over here.

The thing is, here I can comment – there I have to sign in…and I’m not.
Anyway your new place is really classy – Congrats! Will try to keep up with you – you always have the coolest pictures.
And I, too always thought those cranes look like some sort of strange creature that could come to life and walk off…

One can change settings at both Blogger and WordPress. I changed the comment setting so that anyone can comment, even anonymously.

Nice – clicked and read the post – I’m not on blogspot and need another social media profile/community to attempt to keep up with like I need a hole in the head (LOL) – so, bookmarked your new home, will do my best to read/check but not signing up for account, etc., to comment/reply, etc., so you KNOW, at some point or another? I remember you fondly and check in on what’s a doin in your world!!! :D. Best wishes in your new home in cyberland!!!

Funny, that you moved to Blogger, whilst I after several years on Blogspot (by blogger) moved the Blogspot site “Our World” to WordPress (with the new title: “Some view on our world”) because it loaded too slow on several browsers, which made people skip away. The only big problem with WordPress is that they introduced their awful Block editor, which I do hope they shall not going to force unto all its users. (That block system is horrible to use.) Concerning visitors, I have tried already several blogsystems and noticed that the amount of visitors on WordPress is the highest.
In any case success with your new blogging place!
