I often take walks on the campus of San Diego State University since it’s just 1½ miles down the road from me.

Over the last couple of years the grounds crew has turned the campus into a very nice arboretum and botanical garden, making it a pleasure to go for a walk with my handy dandy camera glued to my hand.

Today I stopped by the Turtle Pond and saw four turtles looking very much like a family—daddy turtle, the biggest; momma turtle, second biggest; oldest child, third biggest; and youngest child, a cute little thing that must be less than a year old.
