Two of my favorite beaches in San Diego are Imperial Beach and Ocean Beach. Here are some scenes:
Ocean public art indicates we’re getting close!
As do street utility boxes
Even the sidewalks are beachy.
Houses near the beach.
Surfing is a big pastime.
We’re there!
Fishing is allowed from the pier since it’s a “fishing pier.”
Not from in the waters or on the beach, though.
My wise old grandmother taught me to share,
so I passed by this drinking fountain:
The pier’s restaurant is a relaxed place to eat with the best view.
Until tomorrow.

I have no idea either, but I also thought they were pretty cool. I’ll accept wordsfromanneli’s comment that they are floats for fish nets.

They look like ice lollies to me 😉

I think they’re floats for fish nets, Darlene. They come in all shapes and sizes.

The beach scenes are ‘cool’ but Zoey the Cool Cat has the ‘coolest’ spot.

That was the second or third day I had her. She now knows that she is not allowed to get into the pots.

But pots are nice for cats!

And she likes them with or without dirt and plants in them. Just as long as they are slightly too small for her so she can squeeze herself into them and feel comfortable………….

Quite right. You may tell her that my Zoe feels the same way about pots 🙂

I love that they’ve taken the trouble to artwork the utility boxes! 🙂

Painting utility boxes seems to be a passion here in the County. The last time I saw an unpainted utility box, well, they were painting it.

I’m not a fisherperson. I’d rather just watch the little fishees swim about merrily.
I do like to go fishing, though, because fishing places tend to be very quiet, serene, beautiful. My friends also like to take me fishing because I play the extremely important role of volunteer………..
I always volunteer to go get more beer before the last bottle is empty……..

ahaha, that’s the kind of voluntarism i can understand, hehe. 😉
in the english site, my current post is about fishes. rather long, though. bring a bottle of beer when you drop by. have a good weekend, sir… 🙂
